Corepoint Integration Engine is a highly efficient software that comes with several features, including – message management, mapping, routing, and database access interoperability for healthcare organizations. It enhances how healthcare providers integrate health data internally and externally using Web Services.   Corepoint Integration Engine’s API allows for the building of healthcare interfaces, including support for many message formats, including X12 Messaging Standard, Extensible Markup Language (XML), Health Level Seven (HL7), Comma-Separated Values (CSV), Clinical Document Architecture (CDA), Continuity of Care Document (CCD), Continuity of Care Record (CCR), Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM), and other formats. It supports the transmission of messages via different protocols, including Minimum Layer Protocol (MLP), Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP), Web Services (WS)-Reliable Messaging, Microsoft Message Queuing (MSMQ), etc.   The top-notch Integration Engine supports Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) compliant databases, including Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server database, Oracle Database, MySQL, and Microsoft Access.   Spurred by customer feedback and developments in the government’s Meaningful Use provisions, some new improvements were introduced in version 5.0. The recent developments allow the users to use enhanced Web Services to connect to external HIE and create their own enterprise-level HIE. Having the ability to provide Web Services directly from the Integration engine will keep an eye on all the data flow within the engine’s monitoring dashboard and bring down the number of applications.
The web services feature is a highly interoperable communication method that allows healthcare organizations to meet the Meaningful Use requirement of transferring patient data with an unaffiliated external organization. With this feature, data can be exchanged between disparate organizations, irrespective of the operating system or software in use.   Some other newly introduced features are – Health Level Seven (HL7) Encoding Character Override With no coding. This means users can easily handle the messages which are not compliant and that wrongly send unescaped HL 7 separator characters. Another critical feature is Message Trace, which allows users to filter a specified set of messages across a range of date ranges, connections, log types, and event types.   Talking of its advantages, Corepoint Integration Engine is an effective interoperability solution that scales with the expansion of services. It’s a simple integration engine that is easy and cost-effective to deploy—quick deployment results in good returns on investment. The integrity of the data remains intact even when upgrades, platform conversions, or migrations are conducted. Both internal and external partners can connect without any disruptions. It allows developers to develop interfaces with visual diagrams, and Corepoint’s object graph feature can be used to demonstrate the flow of data within the organization. The platform also allows developers to test as they develop to maintain data integrity while linking up with external partners and meet all interoperability requirements. The interface engine alerts you, performs effective monitoring, logs events for you, and allows you to choose what you want to view on the monitoring screen. It also comes with a lot of flexibility that will enable users to configure alerts by date, time and the receiver.
